In just a few days from now, Akash Ambani will tie the knot with Shloka Mehta in a grand function. For their March 9 wedding, festivities have already begun.
After a musical night earlier this week, Akash will host a bachelor party in Switzerland.
Reportedly, the bash will be attended by several Bollywood celebrities including Karan Johar, who has already left for the destination.
Guests
KJo will be joined by Ranbir Kapoor in Switzerland
Reportedly, Johar flew to Switzerland last evening and was also snapped at the airport by shutterbugs.
Johar, who is quite particular about his airport looks, wore a black sweatshirt which he paired with black tracksuit pyjama.
KJo completed his look with shimmery silver sports shoes.
Apparently, he will also be joined by Akash's close friend Ranbir Kapoor in Switzerland for the party.
Celebrations
Bachelor party to be a three-day bash
According to media reports, Akash's bachelor party will be a three-day celebration starting from February 23.
The lavish party will be attended by around 500 guests which will include several celebrities from Bollywood.
The reports further suggested that the guests would be flown to St. Moritz, a luxury alpine resort town in Switzerland, in two private aircraft hired by Ambanis.
Performance
Maroon 5 to perform at Akash-Shloka's sangeet
The bachelor party will be followed by the wedding rituals which will include an extravagant sangeet ceremony for Akash and Shloka on March 8.
Interestingly, Akash's sangeet ceremony will also have an international performance by popular band Maroon 5.
"Since Akash and Shloka are fans of Maroon 5, the family thought it fitting to have them perform for the couple," a source told Mid-Day.
Fees
Maroon 5 to charge a whopping amount from Ambanis
The media reports further suggested the American pop rock band of seven members will be giving a 40-minute performance at the sangeet.
It is also speculated that Maroon 5 will be charging a whopping amount for their gig from the Ambanis.
"Maroon 5 is known to charge anywhere between $1mn and $1.5mn for private shows. It will be an expensive affair," the source added.
