Bobby Deol says 'Bandar' is not about 'putting women down'

Bobby Deol, who is currently seen in Bandar, recently opened up about his character, Samar. In an interview with Zoom, he stressed that Samar is a "flawed character" and not perfect. "Nobody is perfect. But that doesn't mean you have committed a crime just because your morals are very uncertain," he said. The drama is helmed by Anurag Kashyap.

Deol admitted that playing Samar was a tough role for him. He said, "For me, it was a very challenging character to play something like this." Despite the challenges, he enjoys such roles as they are different from his real-life persona.

Deol will next be seen as Fateh Singh Lakhawat in the YRF Spy Universe film Alpha, co-starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Anil Kapoor. It will premiere on July 3. He is also a part of Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's last film Jana Nayagan, which is yet to be released. The film is directed by H Vinoth and co-stars Pooja Hegde.
