Bollywood director Shetty accused of illegal police stickers on SUVs
Bollywood director Rohit Shetty is in some legal trouble after allegedly putting "Police" stickers and police-style lights on his own SUVs: something only real law enforcement vehicles are allowed to do.
This move breaks Section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
Shetty attacked, Bishnoi's gang claimed responsibility
Shetty reportedly made these changes after asking Mumbai Police for extra security in January, following threats from Lawrence Bishnoi's gang.
Even though he never got official approval, he went ahead anyway.
Things escalated when unknown gunmen attacked his Juhu apartment and Lawrence Bishnoi's gang later claimed responsibility and warned him not to get involved with their affairs.
Meanwhile, Shetty continues filming Golmaal 5 under tight security as police investigate the vehicle modifications.
