What's the story
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was recently honored with a skyscraper in Dubai named after him. The tower, titled Shahrukhz by Danube, was launched at an event in Mumbai on Friday, November 14. Rizwan Sajan, the founder and chairman of Danube Group, spoke highly of Khan during the event. The 56-story office tower will feature a statue of Khan in his signature Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge pose at the entrance.

Khan humorously responded to the honor, saying, "Main Eid ka chand jaisa ho gaya hoon. Bahar kam aata hoon. Lekin jab aata hoon, tab kamaal aata hoon!" He also revealed that he had asked Sajan if the event would be held in Dubai or Mumbai. Sajan told him it would be in Mumbai because "Mera desh mere bahut kareeb hai."

During the event, Khan also paid an emotional tribute to his late mother. He said, "If my mom was alive, she'd be very happy!" The superstar also spoke about the tower's features and how it would be a source of inspiration for people starting off in Dubai. The tower is expected to be completed by 2029 and will have prices starting at $4,60,000 (around ₹3.8 crore).

The Shahrukhz by Danube tower will have a gross saleable value of ₹4,000 crore and will be located on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road.
