Fatima Bosch wins Miss Universe 2025—and stands up for herself

Entertainment

Fatima Bosch, a 26-year-old from Tabasco, Mexico, just took home the Miss Universe 2025 crown in Bangkok.
She's now the fourth Mexican to ever win this title, joining Lupita Jones, Ximena Navarrete, and Andrea Meza.

She faced public insults—but didn't back down

Before her win, Bosch was publicly called a "dumbhead" by Miss Universe Thailand national director Nawat Itsaragrisil for not promoting Thailand online.
Instead of letting it slide, she responded with calm confidence: "If it takes away your dignity, you should walk away."
Her stance sparked a walkout and support from other contestants.

More than just a crown: advocacy at her core

Bosch isn't just about pageants—she's passionate about sustainable fashion and has worked with sick children, migrants, and neurodivergent advocacy.
Her victory is being celebrated as a win for resilience and feminist activism around the world.
