Island to dinosaur skulls: 5 weird things Leonardo DiCaprio owns
    Credits

Leonardo DiCaprio is not only one of Hollywood's biggest stars but also one of the most talented actors in the industry currently. He has starred in several mega films like Titanic, Gangs of New York and The Aviator. Having been in the industry for almost 20 years, DiCaprio's quality movies have helped him amass massive wealth. Here are the 5 weirdest things he owns.

Do you know what is DiCaprio's net worth?

DiCaprio, whose upcoming film is Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, has a massive net worth of $245 million which comes to around Rs. 1,745 crore. The 44-year-old actor started with commercial and educational films before moving on to grand and top quality Hollywood releases.

An eco-friendly resort on a private island off Belize coast

DiCaprio is extremely environment conscious and is a huge campaigner for climate change and its dangers. Therefore, the star decided to buy an island off the coast of Belize which cost him around $1.75 million or approximately Rs. 12 crore. He plans to turn this tropical island into an eco-luxury resort and an exclusive retreat, for which he has teamed up with Four Seasons.

Leo's love for art knows no bounds

DiCaprio is an artist. Naturally, he has an inclination toward other art like paintings, as well. His choice in art tends towards groovy pieces which speak to him. One of the most prized possessions in his collections was a drawing by neo-expressionist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The artwork titled Redman One had cost DiCaprio $9 million or around Rs. 64 crore at the time of purchase.

DiCaprio rocks and rolls with U2 frontman, Bono's guitar

There is a little of rock n' roll in our favorite star. DiCaprio is a huge fan of U2, one of the foremost rock bands. However, while most people are content with buying records or concert tickets of their favorite band, DiCaprio's love manifests itself in a different way. He bought U2 frontman, Bono's guitar for $100,000, which comes to approximately Rs. 71 lakh.

Not just an actor but a fan of movies too

DiCaprio is not just a world-class actor but is an avid fan of cinemas in general. The star has thus purchased the ruby red slippers from the classic Wizard of Oz. The slippers were estimated at $3 million or Rs. 21 crore. He also bought the piano from the sets of the classic Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman starring movie Casablanca.

The star has a fascination for dinosaur skulls

Of all the weird things DiCaprio owns, the strangest has to be dinosaur skulls. Apparently, the star is a huge fan of dinosaurs and often attends auctions trying to purchase bones of dinosaurs. Some time back, DiCaprio purchased a carnivorous Mosasaurus aquatic lizard's skull which cost him around $40,000 or Rs. 28 lakh. However, he ended up selling it to fellow star Russell Crowe.
