'Kesari': Massive fire on Akshay Kumar's film sets, no casualty
In a setback for the team of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Kesari', a massive fire broke out on its sets at Pimpode Budruk village in Wai teshsil, Maharashtra. The unfortunate incident took place during the shooting of the film's climax. Incidentally, a few days back, Akshay had injured himself while filming a heavy-duty action scene.
Akshay, after shooting his portions for the day, had left the spot before it caught fire. A Satara Police control room official told a news agency that the fire was soon brought under control and nobody was injured. He further said that while the team was filming a bomb explosion scene, some embers fell on set material in the vicinity. That caused the fire.
'Kesari' is based on the Battle of Saragarhi (1897) and stars Parineeti Chopra alongside Akshay. Bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the film is being directed by Anurag Singh who has previously helmed several Punjabi films including the 'Jatt and Juliet' series. It will be out on Holi next year.
