Parineeti Chopra is an Indian actress and singer predominantly working in Hindi cinema. Born and brought up in Haryana, Chopra pursued a triple honors degree in business, finance, and economics from Manchester Business School and returned to India in 2009 and stayed with her cousin, Priyanka Chopra, in Mumbai. Initially, she started working as a PR consultant with Yash Raj Films. However, while promoting 'Band Baaja Baaraat', she decided to pursue a career in acting. In 2011, Chopra made a debut with the movie 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' and received a Filmfare Award, a Screen Award, and an IIFA Award for her performance. Later, she was seen in 'Ishaqzaade', which was yet again a Box Office hit. In 2014, Chopra took a hiatus from the industry and made a comeback in 2017 with the movie 'Meri Pyaari Bindu'. In the same year, she made her singing debut with the song 'Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin' from 'Meri Pyaari Bindu'. She was also seen in 'Golmaal Again' (2017), which is her highest-grossing film so far. In 2021, she made her OTT debut with the film 'The Girl on the Train'.
