One of the highest-paid actors and the most influential global figures from India, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, is an Indian actress, producer, and singer. Chopra returned to India from the USA when she was 16 and started modeling. In 2000, her mother encouraged her to enter the Miss Femina India contest, which she finished second, bagging the Miss India World title. The same year, she was crowned the Miss World 2000 and Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty—Asia & Oceania. Later, she was offered the lead role in 'Humraaz' in 2002, but she eventually made her debut with the 2002 Tamil film 'Thamizhan'.
