Arjun Mathur is a British-born Indian actor who is known for his work in Hindi films, television serials, and web series. He is an alumnus of the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York. Mathur has also received acting training at Barry John’s institute. Before starting his career in acting, he served as an Assistant Director on several popular Bollywood films like ‘Rang De Basanti,’ and ‘Bunty Aur Babli.’ Mathur’s acting talent was discovered by Farhan Akhtar and Mira Nair through their respective short films ‘Positive,’ and ‘Migration,’ which were made for the ‘Aids Jaago’ project. Following this, he went on to appear in films like ‘My Name Is Khan,’ ‘Ankur Arora Murder Case,’ and ‘Luck by Chance.’ He was also nominated for Best Actor at the 2013 New York Indian Film Festival for the English film ‘Fireflies.’ His role in the Amazon Original series ‘Made in Heaven’ earned him an International Emmy Award nomination for ‘Best Performance by an Actor.’ Mathur was also appreciated for his performance in the British drama television series ‘Indian Summers,’ which aired on Channel 4.
