Born on February 3, 1970, Anthony Russo is an American film director, producer, and writer, best known for directing ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ (2014), ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (2016), ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (2018) and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019), along with his brother Joseph Russo. The duo is famously known as the Russo brothers. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in business but later switched to English. The brothers began their directorial career in 1997 with the film ‘Pieces’ which remains unreleased. They were also the producers of the movie along with director Steven Soderbergh and actor George Clooney. As of 2021, the Russo brothers have directed 10 Hollywood movies and produced four movies. In 2003, they began directing Television shows. Their first TV directorial project was ‘Lucky.’ Between 2003 and 2021, they have directed 14 TV shows including ‘Arrested Development’ (2003-2005) for which the duo received a Primetime Emmy Award. Their father is the Democratic Party politician and American attorney Basil Russo.
