In a shocking incident, unidentified gunmen fired multiple shots outside the residence of Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu in Barnala district of Punjab late at night on Saturday. He added that an FIR is being registered in connection with this incident.
The police had earlier provided Sidhu with two gunmen due to a threat perception from gangsters.

Fugitive gangster Doni Bal claims responsibility for firing
Fugitive gangster Balwinder Singh alias Doni Bal, who is believed to be hiding abroad, has reportedly claimed responsibility for the firing in an audio clip posted on social media.
"He (Gulab Sidhu) has been attending the weddings of the friends of those who killed Sidhu. He could not hear our phone ringing. We have given him a little sense," said the voice in the clip.

Claims are being verified: SSP Alam
SSP Alam said, "The claims are being verified. We cannot say if the post is authentic or not."
