'Freakier Friday' review: Lindsay Lohan's comeback is worth your time

Lindsay Lohan is back in "Freakier Friday," the sequel to the 2003 classic, streaming on JioHotstar starting Friday, November 7, 2025.
This time, Anna (Lohan), now a successful music producer, swaps bodies with her mom Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) after a fortune teller's intervention during a bachelorette party—just as Anna's about to get married.

Plenty of laughs and some good music

The swap throws Anna's relationship with her own daughter Harper (Julia Butters) into chaos, leading to plenty of awkward and funny moments.
With direction by Nisha Ganatra and music from Amie Doherty, "Freakier Friday" puts a fresh spin on family drama and mother-daughter bonds—all wrapped up in some magical comedy.
