Gosling exits Kwan and Scheinert project, release delayed November 2027
Ryan Gosling is no longer starring in the upcoming movie from Everything Everywhere All at Once directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. He had to drop out because of scheduling conflicts, including commitments like promoting Project Hail Mary.
Since they couldn't make the dates work, the film's release has been moved from June to November 2027.
Kwan and Scheinert seek replacement
The directors and producer Jonathan Wang are still moving forward; they're now searching for a new lead.
Kwan and Scheinert, who made waves with their Oscar-winning hit, will keep working with Universal under their Playgrounds banner.
Meanwhile, Gosling has other big projects lined up, like Star Wars: Starfighter, showing just how tricky Hollywood schedules can get when stars juggle multiple films.
