Marvel star Chris Pratt announces engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger
Chris Pratt, famous for playing Peter Quill or Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, has just announced his engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger, whose father is the popular actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Following a whirlwind romance, Pratt made the announcement public through a touching Instagram post. Fans who kept drooling over Pratt might be slightly sad, but do read how the sweet couple is celebrating love.
Pratt announced on Instagram that he was happy that "sweet Katherine" had said yes to his proposal. Expressing that he was thrilled to be marrying her, the Marvel star went on to say how proud he was to be "boldly living in faith" with her. He ended by saying, "Here we go!" The picture showed the lovebirds hugging and Katherine's engagement ring was prominent.
The news of their engagement came soon after 39-year-old Pratt helped 29-year-old Katherine move from her home in Santa Monica, California, on Friday, January 11. The two had a whirlwind romance over the summer, which involved spending a lot of time with Pratt's 6-year-old son Jack, from his first marriage with Anna Faris, who is known for her role in the Scary Movie series.
The couple met through Katherine's mother Maria Shriver and the two felt things heated up quickly between them since June 2018. Lovebirds Pratt and Katherine were first spotted together having a picnic in a park in Santa Barbara on Father's Day. The couple was later spotted several times going out on dates in and around Los Angeles with Pratt's son, Jack, in tow.
A source said, "They're both serious about the relationship and hopeful for the future. Chris doesn't just date to date, and neither does Katherine. She's very excited". The source added, "Chris and Katherine are very happy together... very compatible and have a lot in common."
