#ComicBytes: Five most heroic things Loki has done
Loki is one of Marvel's most iconic villains.
As a constant thorn in Thor's side, the God of Mischief is one of the smartest characters in the comics and is feared for his magic.
Despite being portrayed as a villain, Loki is conflicted and his innate realism has found him doing several good deeds.
Here are the five most heroic things Loki has done.
Loki helped rescue Odin from the Egyptian God, Seth
Although there would normally be no situation where Norse Gods and Egyptian Gods would fight, Marvel's intricate universe hosts Gods from all cultures.
Seth once absorbed powers from all the other Egyptian Gods and kidnapped Odin.
As Seth and his armies sought to destroy Asgard, Loki helped Thor in a mission to free Odin, which ended in an epic Odin and Seth face-off.
Loki rescued the Wiccan and Hulkling from parasite named Mother
Loki, when he had taken over the body of Kid Loki, joined the Young Avengers.
Although he had some ulterior motives, he ended up doing good there.
Two members of the team, Hulkling and Wiccan had been captured by a parasite known as Mother.
Not only did Loki rescue the two, but also helped the Young Avengers defeat the parasite, thus saving the world.
Loki undoes the reality warping of Scarlet Witch
The Scarlet Witch is known for her reality warping powers, and in an event titled 'AXIS,' the mutant managed to cause an inversion where the heroes and villains got interchanged.
Loki became his most heroic, as the God of Mischief was turned to the God of Heroism and Truth.
Lifting Thor's hammer, he defeated a now villainous Thor and helped reverse Scarlet Witch's reality.
Loki rewrote Asgardian myth allowing Thor to defeat the Serpent
The Serpent is an unstoppable foe in Asgardian myth.
Thor is only able to stop the creature by sacrificing himself, which is, of course, a heroic and noble act by the God of Thunder.
However, Loki rewrote Asgardian myth, giving the Serpent a weakness that Thor was able to exploit.
As a result, Thor killed the Serpent but also died in the process.
Loki helped in the creation of the Avengers
The Avengers is one of the most recognizable hero groups in Marvel.
However, few people know that the group was actually created in an effort to stop Loki, as the film showed.
Loki tried to turn the Hulk against Thor, but ultimately they teamed up and were joined by Ant-Man, Iron-Man, and Wasp.
Together, the heroes defeated Loki and went on to serve justice.
