The background has paintings of both actors from their early days in films.

'Hi' marks Vishnu Edavan's directorial debut
Hi is the directorial debut of Vishnu Edavan, a former assistant to Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film's technical team includes cinematography by Rajesh Shukla, editing by Philomin Raj, and music by Jen Martin. Art and stunt direction are handled by Sekar B and Dinesh Kasi respectively. It is produced by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Productions in association with Rowdy Pictures and Zee Studios.

Nayanthara, who was last seen in the Netflix movie Test alongside R Madhavan and Siddharth, has several upcoming projects. She will reprise her role as a goddess in Mookuthi Amman 2, directed by Sundar C.
