'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' going off-air? Lead actor Karan Patel reacts

It's been over five years since Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi starrer Yeh Hai Mohabbatein was launched on Star Plus. Since then, the show has been among the top favorites of viewers. However, recent media reports suggested that the popular show would be going off air in April. When asked, its lead actor Karan said he's clueless about YHM coming to an end soon.
Karan, who plays the role of Raman Bhalla in YHM, said, "I've also heard about it but I'm not too sure. Speculations have been there for a long time but I think as long as the show is there, enjoy it." Meanwhile, Divyanka, who plays his wife, is also unaware of this. "They haven't announced anything officially to the actors at least," she said.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the YHM makers took the big decision after the show started struggling for TRP ratings for a while. "This very long-running series had been under-performing for a while now. And now with Star engaged in a neck to neck fight with Colors for numbers, they have decided to pull the plug off," a source was quoted saying.
Apparently, the show will be pulled down this month. However much to the relief of the disappointed fans, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein will be returning with an interesting spin-off. "The show may go off air by this month. However, no official announcement has been made yet. But, we will come with a spin-off titled Yeh Hai Chaahatein," a source told SpotboyE.
