'Khatron Ke...15': Karan Wahi talks about controversial pellet-gun stunt
What's the story
Karan Wahi, a contestant on the popular reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, has spoken about the controversial pellet gun stunt that left him and fellow participant Gaurav Khanna with serious back injuries. In an interview with Zoom, he revealed that he was initially unaware of how painful the task would be. However, his perspective changed after experiencing the first shot.
Contestant's experience
'Not fun and games...'
Wahi explained that the pain auction rule on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 was new to all contestants, who were given a chance to quit if they couldn't handle the pain.
Wahi said, "Because this is not fun and games. This could actually scare you and injure you in ways that you wouldn't want to. Eventually, we had just begun the season."
Contestant's ordeal
'My mind went numb after the 1st bullet hit me'
Wahi added, "So, you don't want to get into the show or go through the show with a lot of pain."
"After the first bullet hit, my mind went numb. My body was taking the blows, but I think, beyond a point of time, I went numb."
"I couldn't hear anybody. I would just hear someone getting shot next to me."
Injury aftermath
'Never thought it would be that bad'
The actor further said, "When I think about it, what took me through the stunt, I really don't know. I don't know if it would be given to me another time, I would ever be able to do it. I never thought it would be that bad."
He added that one doesn't realize what they're going through as their mind or body goes into shock after a point.
