Actor Kartik Aaryan recently purchased a flat in Mumbai's upmarket neighborhood Versova. However, what's interesting is that, it happens to be the very same flat where the 28-year-old actor used to live as a paying guest, back in the days when he was struggling to make it as an actor. Here are more details.
Flat spans 551sqft; located in Rajkiran Co-op Housing Society
According to DNA, Aaryan has purchased a flat on the fifth floor of the Rajkiran Co-op Housing Society on Yari Road for Rs. 1.6cr. As per the report, he signed the deal for the flat- spanning 551 sqft (459 sqft carpet area)- in May, paying Rs. 9.60L as stamp duty. The flat is reportedly registered in the name of Aaryan's mother, Mala Tiwari.
Aaryan previously revealed he shared flat with 12 boys
In his February appearance on the Karan Johar's talk show Koffee with Karan with Luka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon, Aaryan had revealed that when he first moved to Mumbai, he used to live in a two-bedroom apartment with 12 other boys.
In college days, Aaryan started giving auditions for films
To note, Aaryan grew up Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and dreamt of becoming an actor pretty early on. In the past, he has revealed that he enrolled into an engineering course at the DY Patil College of Engineering in Navi Mumbai, to be able to audition for acting roles in Mumbai. He would skip classes to go for auditions in local trains.
Aaryan did not complete BTech until after 'PKP 2'
Interestingly, because of his film career, Aaryan had to stall his Bachelor's degree. He eventually completed his degree after the success of Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, which was released in 2015, to pacify his parents, who wanted him to have a good education.
Aaryan shot to fame with 2011's 'Pyaar ka Punchnama'
Aaryan shot to fame with his debut appearance in Luv Ranjan's 2011 romantic comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama. His last release, Luka Chuppi raked in global collections of Rs. 128.86cr at the box office. He will next be seen in the upcoming romantic comedy Pati, Patni Aur Woh, alongside, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. The film releases on December 6 this year.
