Kerala HC asks Shah to answer 'Kerala Story 2' plea
The Kerala High Court wants producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah to address a petition asking for Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond to be taken off Zee5.
Kochi resident Yohan George claims the film spreads false information about Kerala and fuels communal tensions.
The judge pointed out that since the movie was already released in theaters, the petition might not hold much weight.
George questions CBFC approval
George says that after its release on Zee5, clips from the movie went viral with hashtags like #JaagoHinduJaago, making it seem like a true story and stirring up controversy online.
He also questions why it got approval from the Central Board of Film Certification and wants "Kerala" removed from its title.
George had previously asked Zee5 to remove the film, but it is still available, and his earlier legal challenge is ongoing.
