Lavanya Tripathi files complaint over defamation on social media

Actor Lavanya Tripathi has filed a complaint with Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police after an unknown Instagram user posted false and hurtful claims about her and her family.
The posts have reportedly caused her a lot of stress and damaged her reputation.
Police are now working to track down who's behind the account.

The case is being investigated under the IT Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, with authorities looking through digital evidence to find the culprit.
While all this is going on, Lavanya's new movie Sathi Leelavathi has been postponed (no fresh release date yet), and her husband Varun Tej is busy shooting for his next film, Korean Kanakaraju, set for release in summer 2026.
