Malayalam film legend Sreenivasan passed away on Saturday at 69, leaving behind a legacy that shaped the industry for nearly five decades.
He is survived by his wife Vimala and sons Vineeth and Dhyan, both actors themselves.
Who was Sreenivasan?
Born in Kannur district in 1956, Sreenivasan trained at the Film and Television Institute of Tamil Nadu before debuting in 1976.
He acted in over 225 films, often playing the relatable everyman.
Beyond acting, he wrote award-winning screenplays like Sandesham, directed acclaimed movies such as Vadakkunokkiyanthram, and co-produced hits with Mukesh.
