    Mallika Sherawat to adapt 'The Good Wife' for Indian audience

    Mallika Sherawat is back to work after a hiatus of two years and this time she will be seen on the small screen. The 'Murder' actor will be adapting the much-loved American series 'The Good Wife' for the Indian audience. She will be acting and producing the series. The multiple Emmy award-winning show was seven seasons long and had ended in 2016.

    She herself will play the lead role

    Mallika will be stepping into the shoes of Julianna Margulies who played the role of Alicia Florrick in the original version. The rest of the cast is yet to finalized and will be announced subsequently. Mallika last appeared in the Chinese film 'Time Raiders' in 2016. Her last Bollywood film was 'Dirty Politics' that released in 2015.

    Mallika shared her excitement about the show

    "I'm really pumped out about bringing 'The Good Wife' to India and thank CBS for putting their faith in me. I love the show. It features a fierce and beautifully written female character with enough contradiction, emotional range and surprise," Mallika said.
