Neha Sharma questioned by ED in 1xBet betting probe

Bollywood actor Neha Sharma was called in by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday, December 2, as part of a money laundering investigation into the illegal betting site 1xBet.
She isn't alone—other big names like Mimi Chakraborty, Urvashi Rautela, Sonu Sood, Shikhar Dhawan, and Suresh Raina have also been questioned as the probe widens.

Why are so many celebs involved?

The ED is looking into whether these celebrities got paid or received perks for promoting 1xBet, which they suspect was used for major money laundering.
With around 22 crore Indians using online betting apps—and lots of money moving through shady channels—more celebrity names might come up as the investigation goes deeper.
