Nick Jonas, Danny DeVito to return for 'Jumanji 3'
What's the story
The upcoming installment of Columbia Pictures's Jumanji franchise has begun production in Los Angeles. The film will see the return of several supporting characters from the previous movies. Bebe Neuwirth, Danny DeVito, Lamorne Morris, Marin Hinkle, Nick Jonas, and Rhys Darby are all part of the cast, per The Hollywood Reporter. They will be joining Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan, who are reprising their roles from the previous films.

New faces and returning characters in 'Jumanji 3'
The new cast members include Dan Hildebrand and Jack Jewkes. Jonas will reprise his role as "Seaplane" McDonough, a pilot in the video game. Darby is back as Nigel Billingsley, the game's field guide, while DeVito returns as Eddie, Spencer's grandfather. Hinkle plays Spencer's mother, while Neuwirth appeared in the original 1995 movie and returned for Next Level. Morris made a cameo in Next Level as a heater repairman.

While plot details are under wraps, it is confirmed that Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg have penned the script. The film is being produced by Matt Tolmach, Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Jake Kasdan. Directed by Kasdan, it will hit theaters on December 11, 2026. The previous films in the franchise were Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: Next Level (2019).
