Olivia Yace steps down from Miss Universe Africa, Oceania titles

Entertainment

Olivia Yace, who represented Cote d'Ivoire at Miss Universe 2025, has decided to step down as Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.
After finishing fourth runner-up in Bangkok, she shared on Instagram that she's resigning to stay true to her values of respect, dignity, excellence, and equal opportunity.

Why she left—and another surprise exit

The Miss Cote d'Ivoire Committee called it a move for "personal convenience" and informed the Miss Universe Organization.
Yace said she hopes her decision inspires young girls to be confident and break old barriers.
Interestingly, Estonia's Brigitta Schaback also resigned her title on consecutive days—she mentioned value differences with her national director, while organizers pointed to some recent comments she made as the reason for stepping down.
