Padmaavat makes a royal entry to the Rs. 100cr club
Finally, there seems to be no stopping for the recently unleashed cinematic beast, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus 'Padmaavat'. Right on its fourth day, it makes a regal entry to the Rs. 100-cr club. To be precise, the film has earned Rs. 114 crore so far, and the way it's proceeding, it can easily break many box office records. Here are the details.
Simplifying the total earning of Padmaavat, Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, "Looking at the overall scenario, #Padmaavat has put up FANTASTIC numbers in its extended weekend... Crosses Rs. 100 cr mark... Wed [limited previews] 5 cr, Thu 19 cr, Fri 32 cr, Sat 27 cr, Sun 31 cr. Total: Rs. 114 cr. India biz. The numbers are exactly as Deepika had predicted - earth-shattering.

According to Taran Adarsh's report, Padmaavat is Deepika's eighth film to enter the Rs. 100-cr club after Bajirao Mastani, Ram Leela, Housefull. While for Ranveer, it's his third film to enter the club and coincidentally all his films were by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Also, with this Deepika becomes the first female actor to have so many films to have earned Rs. 100cr and beyond.
