It so happened that Vishagan, who often travels abroad for business trips, had recently planned a trip to Queen's city with Soundarya.
They had booked business class tickets of the Emirates airlines and had boarded the flight from Chennai.

The media reports further suggested that apart from Vishagan's passport, his money (in American currency) was also missing.
Reportedly, Vishagan informed the airport authorities about the theft, and filed a complaint about the same.
After the case came to light, the Indian embassy issued a duplicate passport to the industrialist.
For now, the concerned authorities are also investigating the matter.

Soundarya, who was earlier married to Chennai-based industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar, tied the knot with Vishagan on February 11 in a lavish ceremony in Chennai.
Soundarya wore a magenta saree with heavy golden work, designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla.
