Kangana Ranaut's latest, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, kicked off with a decent ₹1 crore on opening day and peaked at ₹1.8 crore over the weekend.
But after Sunday, things slowed down fast. Weekday earnings dropped steadily, ending the week at a total of ₹6.55 crore.
Tax-free 'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata' loses momentum
Despite being inspired by the 2008 Mumbai attacks and getting tax-free status in Haryana (plus praise from the state's Chief Minister), the film struggled to keep audiences interested once the weekend buzz faded.
It also faced competition from Vikram Bhatt's Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past and Main Vaapas Aaunga but couldn't turn its early hype into lasting success.
