When Ranveer Singh attended IIFA Awards 2019, he made sure that he grabs all the attention, given his nature. From sharing mushy moments with wife Deepika Padukone to winning the best actor award for Padmaavat, he kept the cameras trained on him. And adding to the celebratory mood, the actor revealed at the ceremony that he'll be getting waxed at the Madame Tussauds, London.

Deepika had unveiled her figure at Madame Tussauds this year

The announcement was made by Ranveer when he was delivering his winning speech. "My mother-in-law was like you've to work hard too, we want a statue of you also. Mama, we're going to London," he exclaimed. To note, Deepika had unveiled her wax figure in Madame Tussauds London early this year. And as per Ranveer's speech, his statue will be placed next to hers.

In his speech, Ranveer also claimed that Deepika's "putla is the sexiest of all." He asserted, "I must say Deepika is a perfectionist. I remember Deepika was very particular about all the time she devoted to getting her statue made. I'm proud of you, baby." "Now having a putla at London's Madame Tussauds, next to my wife's putla will be like putle pe putla."

"It's a wonderful feeling. Deepika inspires me every day. It is going to be you and me baby in Madame Tussauds together," Ranveer quipped, while delivering the speech, addressing Deepika the whole time. Reportedly, he will soon finalize his clothes and pose for the statue.

Meanwhile, talking about his big IIFA win, Ranveer said that it was Deepika who motivated him to deliver his best every day. He also thanked his parents for all "the support and blessings" and Padmaavat director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who has "shaped and moulded me." "Being showered with their blessings and their live support is a gift to me, every single day," Ranveer said.

Upcoming movies

For now, the couple is gearing up for '83

As of now, Ranveer is working on Kabir Khan's '83, which will release next April. The movie chronicles the story of India's glorious victory in the 1983 World Cup, with Ranveer essaying the role of ex-cricket captain Kapil Dev. '83 will also star Deepika Padukone in the role of Kapil's wife, Romi. To note, this will be DeepVeer's first movie together post their marriage.
