Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan is one of the popular new faces in the industry. The 23-year-old, who is the daughter of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is already two films old. Sara's first move was to switch from pizza to cardio

Speaking to Vogue, Sara revealed that she used to weigh 96kgs just a year before she would graduate from the Columbia University in 2016. "The transition from pizza to salad and from lethargy to cardio is how I kickstarted my fitness journey," she said. Given her initial weight, she says, she started with cardio-heavy workouts like walking, cycling and hitting the treadmill.

Speaking on Karan Johar's talk show Koffee With Karan, Sara had revealed that the struggles with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), referred to as PCOD on the show. PCOS is a hormone disorder which can cause irregular menstrual cycles, acne, weight gain, hair loss, etc.

Sara works out for 1.5 hours every day, except Sundays

Talking about what her workout routine looks like these days, the actor says she likes to "change things up." Describing her "eclectic" workout, she told Vogue that it's a "combination of functional training" including Pilates, boxing and cardio. She added, "I work out for an hour and a half every single day- except on Sunday because that's my day to chill."

    What are Sara's go-to workouts?

"If I've had a hard week [physically], then a Vinyasa yoga or Pilates class is a great workout. But if it's been a stressful and emotionally taxing week, there's nothing better than a 45-minute session of boxing to get the adrenalin pumping in my body."

Sara's love for Pilates and her favorite athleisure look

The actor gave a special shout-out to Pilates, which she described as "the backbone of my fitness." Sara also told Vogue that her favorite athleisure look is "a black crop top with black track pants and a pair of sneakers in a bright color." She said, "Monochrome mixed with a bit of color, or the other way round, is how I like it."
