Simu Liu is hyped to team up with Marvel icons in 'Avengers: Doomsday'
Simu Liu can't wait to play Shang-Chi again in "Avengers: Doomsday," sharing how much it means to work alongside Marvel stars he grew up admiring.
"It means everything. It's such a privilege to have played a character that resonated with so many different people," he told PEOPLE.
The movie, directed by the Russo brothers, hits theaters [release date TBA].
Who's joining the adventure?
Liu will be joined by Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Kirby, and Florence Pugh—plus characters from Fantastic Four and X-Men. Robert Downey Jr. is even back as Doctor Doom.
Liu describes the film as "a love letter to the entire genre of superhero movies" and expresses that teaming up with his heroes is incredibly exciting.

Since 2021, Liu has gotten tons of requests for more Shang-Chi appearances and says he still keeps in touch with his castmates through group chats—proof that this role really stuck with him both on and off screen.
