What's the story

The upcoming live-action series Spider-Noir has confirmed that Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage will be playing the role of Ben Reilly, and not Peter Parker. The reveal was made during the Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) 2025 in São Paulo, Brazil. Brazilian entertainment website Omelete shared a black and white and a colored poster of the series on Instagram with the caption: "Get an exclusive look at the first poster for the 'Spider Noir' series."

Cage's role as Ben Reilly in 'Spider-Noir' series

In the poster, we see a private investigator's office door with the nameplate "B. Reilly." Cage had previously voiced Spider-Man Noir in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The character of Ben Reilly was created by writer Gerry Conway and first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1975. He is a clone of Peter Parker/Spider-Man who initially started as an enemy but later became an ally.
