Sydney Sweeney's 'Christy' earns $0 overseas in second week
What's the story
Sydney Sweeney's latest film, Christy, has set an unwanted record by witnessing a massive 92% drop in its box office collections during the second weekend. The biopic of boxer Christy Martin opened to lukewarm reviews and poor returns at the box office. Despite earning $1.3 million domestically in its opening weekend, one of the weakest starts for a wide Hollywood release, it struggled to maintain any momentum afterward.

'Christy' struggles in international markets
The film fared even worse overseas, debuting with just $14,000 and being pulled from most international theaters by Monday, according to Box Office Mojo. The second weekend saw $0 added to its overseas tally, leaving the worldwide gross at $1.9 million. With daily earnings now below $20,000, it is likely to finish its run with a worldwide total under $2 million, a disappointing figure for a film reportedly made for over $15 million.
