Tim Westwood, 68, charged with multiple sexual assaults
Entertainment
Tim Westwood, 68, who was once a prominent BBC and Capital Xtra DJ, has been charged with four counts of rape, nine of indecent assault, and two of sexual assault.
The allegations come from seven women and cover incidents said to have happened between the 1980s and the 2010s in London and Stroud.
Details of the alleged offenses and next steps
The alleged offenses include assaults at BBC studios in the 1990s, a hotel rape in 1996, and more recent incidents at a nightclub and music festival.
Westwood appeared in court on November 10 but hasn't entered any pleas yet. He's out on conditional bail—he can't contact witnesses—and his next court date is December 8.
Westwood denies all allegations but has voluntarily attended five police interviews so far.
