#StreetDancer3D: Varun faints on sets, shoots for 18 hours later

Earlier this week, Varun Dhawan fainted on Street Dancer 3D sets due to its taxing schedule. The director had naturally canceled the shoot post that. However, the Kalank actor, like a thorough professional, made up for the lost time by pulling off an 18-hour-long shift. Varun had apparently fainted due to low blood pressure, as he was suffering from cold and fever.

Varun had to wrap his portion before July 26

"Varun was battling cold and fever for a long time but continued to shoot nonetheless, well aware that his portions had to be wrapped before July 26. Following intense preparation, Varun was shooting when he got dizzy and fainted," a source told Mid-Day.

Varun, ignoring doctor's advice, resumed work after a day

The source continued, "An alarmed Remo sir immediately called for the doctor, who diagnosed Varun with low blood pressure and advised him rest for few days. Naturally, Remo sir called off the shoot for next two days." However, Varun resumed shooting just after a day, shot for 18 hours straight, by reporting "to the set at 1 pm and worked till 7 am."

Earlier, Varun continued shooting despite suffering an injured knee

"Knowing that they had lost out on a day, Varun told Remo sir that he would do a double shift. He reported to the set at 1 pm and worked till 7 am," the source added. This isn't the first time Varun went an extra mile for his films. Earlier, despite injuring his knee, he refused to stall the shoot of his dance-drama.

"He simply had his left knee taped to support muscles"

Reportedly, the actor had injured his knee during an intense practice session with director Remo D'Souza, but did not take rest. "Varun refused to take a break and simply had his left knee taped to support the muscles and carried on," a source had stated.

Varun's co-star Shraddha Kapoor too twisted her ankle while shooting

Not just Varun, even his co-star Shraddha Kapoor was injured during the shooting, and that too several times. Recently, the actress shared Instagram stories that showed her getting treatment for an ankle twist from the on-set physiotherapist. "Ankle twist care by our lovely onset physio, 1st my neck and shoulders, and now my ankle, and you are there to rescue. Thank you," Shraddha wrote.

'Street Dancer 3D' shooting wrapped up on time

And, their hard work paid off, as the Street Dancer 3D team wrapped the shooting up on time. Varun also shared a heart-warming note on Instagram to thank his director and the team. "Thank you to everyone, all the dancers from all around the world for making this film with us. I have had a blast and I'm sad it's over," he wrote.
