Yash urges wait on 'Toxic' trailer promises female voice
Yash's new movie, Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-Ups, is facing criticism for its trailer, with some saying it shows women negatively.
At a Hyderabad event, Yash asked everyone to wait and watch the full film before judging.
He promised, "There's a voice for women in this film," and told fans, "All you girls, you will have a blast."
Yash defends 'Toxic' amid 30cr bookings
Directed by Geetu Mohandas and featuring stars like Kiara Advani and Nayanthara, Toxic is meant to highlight strong female characters.
Yash also addressed concerns about intimate scenes and alleged 'vulgarity,' saying labeling it vulgarity was wrong and that certain scenes were shot aesthetically and the visual impact was part of the filmmaker's creative expression.
The action thriller has already made 30 crore rupees in advance bookings ahead of its 2026 release and has an 'A' certificate from the CBFC.
