Zee Entertainment to invest 15% football streaming revenue in India
Entertainment
Zee Entertainment just announced it's investing 15% of its football streaming revenue to help grow the sport in India.
This is part of its partnership with FIFA, which runs until 2034 and includes big events like the current World Cup.
The idea? Use that money to build new leagues at every level and fund training programs for players.
Punit Goenka outlines talent development strategy
Zee's CEO, Punit Goenka, says this move lets fans support young Indian footballers' dreams through football-viewer subscription revenues.
The company plans to bring in top football advisors, team up with global federations, and focus on spotting and training fresh talent, turning passion into real opportunities for players across India.
