Two terrorists were killed as the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid along J&K's Machil sector in Kupwara this morning. Troops opened fire when they noticed suspicious movement along the LoC. Weapons have also been recovered from the neutralized terrorists. Meanwhile, ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Arnia sector continues. There have been at least six incidents of ceasefire violation by Pakistan this week.

According to Defence Minister Arun Jaitley, there have been 285 infiltration bids by Pakistan this year till August 1. Moreover, there were about 450 incidents of ceasefire violation.
