India
Two young workers from Nalbari, Assam, survived the massive flash floods in Nepal on August 26.
While working at the Trishuli Hydropower Project, they rushed to a mountain for safety as floodwaters rose dangerously high.
Stranded for a day, they were finally airlifted by a Nepal government helicopter, but Pankaj Barman witnessed some of his senior colleagues being swept away, an experience that still deeply affects him.
