BRICS security meeting in New Delhi set for June 22-23
BRICS is gearing up for a big security meeting in New Delhi on June 22-23, 2026.
Top officials from China, Russia, and Iran (including Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is also Beijing's Special Representative on the India-China boundary issue, and Russian national security adviser Sergei Shoigu) will be there.
Hosted by India's NSA Ajit Doval, the group will tackle global security challenges and prepare for the leaders' summit coming up in September.
China says BRICS seeks deeper cooperation
China's Foreign Ministry says BRICS wants to boost political and security cooperation while dealing with tough international issues.
Wang Yi may also meet Doval for one-on-one talks.
The event highlights BRICS' push for peace, fair global governance, and working together as the world changes fast.
