CBSE releases CTET 2026 results with 25.7% pass rate overall
CBSE just dropped the CTET 2026 results, and it's a tough one: out of more than 2.3 million test-takers, only about 590,000 made the cut, putting the pass rate at just 25.7%.
The exam was held across 140 cities in early February.
Supreme Court mandates TET certification
Paper I (for teaching classes I through V) saw a better success rate with around 33.7% passing, while Paper II (for classes VI through VIII) was even tougher: only about 18.6% cleared it.
The spike in applicants this year is thanks to a Supreme Court rule that now requires all teachers under the Right to Education Act to have TET certification, especially impacting states like Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.
If you qualified, your certificate will land digitally on DigiLocker; eligibility certificates for successful candidates will be made available through DigiLocker.
