Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday hoisted a saffron Dharma flag atop the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya, marking its formal completion. The flag, which measures 10x20 feet and is triangular in shape, was hoisted during the special Abhijit Muhurat. This momentous occasion was attended by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The flag features a radiant Sun, the sacred 'Om,' and the Kovidara tree. PM Modi described it as a symbol of awakening and dedication. He said it would be a "symbol of resolve," guiding citizens toward awakening and dedication. The Prime Minister also invoked Satyameva Jayate to emphasize that "truth alone triumphs, not falsehood."
Temple completion
Ceremony marks formal completion of Ram temple
Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, said this ceremony marked the formal completion of the Ram temple. The temple is built in traditional North Indian Nagara architectural style and will be open only to guests with QR-coded passes till 2:30pm. The city has been spruced up for this historic event with new stop signs and sanitation teams.

PM Modi's historic visit to Ayodhya
The PM's visit is historic as it also coincides with the Muhurat of Lord Ram and Sita's Vivah Panchami. It also marks the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur. The rituals were performed by 108 Acharyas, or priests, from Ayodhya, Kashi, and South India under the guidance of noted Kashi scholar Ganeshwar Shastri.
