Christian volunteers craft coffins for plane crash victims
After the recent Air India plane crash, a small group of Christian volunteers in Vadodara is building 120 wooden coffins for the victims—using their own money and working late into the night. Led by Ardesh and Melvyn Rajwadi, they'd already finished 25 by Saturday afternoon and aimed for 50 before Saturday night. Each coffin takes about two hours to make, with volunteer Aldrin Thomas sharing that precision is key.
TL;DR
How the effort started
Air India reached out to these volunteers for help at the mortuary in Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, where the victims' bodies are being kept. This self-funded effort isn't just about logistics—it's a powerful reminder of how communities can quickly come together with empathy when tragedy strikes.
