Cyclone Ditwah: India steps up to help after Sri Lanka disaster

After Cyclone Ditwah caused massive flooding and landslides in Sri Lanka—leaving over 330 people dead—India quickly evacuated more than 300 of its citizens.
The last group landed safely in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday, thanks to the Indian Air Force's efforts.

Operation Sagar Bandhu: Relief and rescue in action

Under Operation Sagar Bandhu, India sent around 21 tons of essentials like tents and blankets to the hardest-hit areas.
IAF aircraft and helicopters also helped move stranded Sri Lankan soldiers from remote spots, while navy choppers pitched in to relocate civilians.
Sri Lanka's president has declared a state of emergency, calling for global support as the country recovers from its worst natural disaster in 20 years.
