December's here, and that means school holidays are beginning to roll out in many parts of India!
With winter vacations lining up alongside big festivals like Nagaland's Hornbill Festival, Goa's Feast of St. Francis Xavier, and Gujarat's Rann Utsav, students get a well-timed break just as the term ends and pre-board exams approach.
Holiday dates vary by state—check your school!
In Uttar Pradesh, schools are set to close from December 20-31 for Christmas and New Year.
Many other states have their winter break from December 23 to January 1, while Madhya Pradesh usually starts around December 23.
Christmas Day (December 25) is a national holiday everywhere, but Christmas Eve (December 24) is only off in some places.
