Dehradun-Haridwar highway accident: Woman killed, 15 including 7 children injured

A late-night crash on the Dehradun-Haridwar highway turned tragic when a bus hit a tractor-trolley, setting off a chain reaction with several vehicles.
Sadly, one woman lost her life and 15 people, including seven children, were hurt.
The accident happened near Hotel Godwin on the Motichur flyover.
Most of the injured were heading home from Jhanda Mela
Police said the collision likely caused the Scorpio's CNG cylinder to explode and catch fire, filling the area with fire and smoke until firefighters stepped in.
Most of those injured were heading home from the Jhanda Mela festival in Dehradun and are from Bijnor and Najibabad.
The road was jammed for hours but is now clear, and police provided an account of the sequence of events.
