What's the story

On a high-octane Sunday night, India claimed their third ICC T20 World Cup title after beating New Zealand in Ahmedabad. While skipper Suryakumar Yadav lifted the cup, head coach Gautam Gambhir also achieved a rare double. He has now won the Men's T20 World Cup both as a player and a coach. Last year, India won the ICC Champions Trophy with Gambhir at the helm.

Final feats

Four ICC trophies

Before his coaching success, Gambhir was already known as India's match-winner in the ICC tournaments. He first won the inaugural T20 World Cup (2007) with India. He smashed a 54-ball 75 against Pakistan in the final. Four years later, the former left-handed batter played another crucial knock of 97 runs against Sri Lanka in the ODI World Cup final. This means Gambhir now owns four ICC trophies - two each as a player and coach.

Milestones
