India
A car bomb went off near the Red Fort metro station in Delhi on Monday evening, leaving at least 10 people dead and more than 24 injured.
The explosion happened just before 7pm when a Hyundai i20 waiting at a red light suddenly blew up, damaging several nearby vehicles and causing chaos at the busy intersection.
Probe underway; possible links to terrorism
One of the victims was Ashok Kumar, a DTC bus conductor who supported his family of eight.
Police have traced the car's ownership to someone in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
Now, a terrorism probe is underway under the UAPA law—Delhi Police and national agencies are looking into possible links to Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwatul Hind.
Security has been tightened across Delhi as investigations continue.
